The Livestock Markets Association of Canada’s Annual Convention will be held in Waterloo Ontario May 23 to May 26. LMAC will be celebrating 45 years as an official organization representing auction markets and livestock marketers across Canada. The Canadian Livestock Auctioneering Championship is included in the convention. The host market this year is OLEX in Waterloo. Event organizers are expecting 45 of Canada’s top and up-and-coming auctioneers to attend the event on May 24.
This convention is open to all livestock auction markets, order buyers and livestock marketers. Producers and industry service providers are encouraged to attend. The host organization is the Ontario Livestock Auction Markets Association (OLAMA).
Hotel and registration information will be available in December 2023. This year’s event starts on Thursday, May 23 in the morning with optional feedlot and Amish tours. The business meeting will be held on Saturday afternoon allowing conventioneers time to visit the Waterloo Farmers Market at the Stockyard in Waterloo in the morning. The LMAC annual convention offers a great opportunity for hear from knowledgeable speakers and network with livestock marketers from across Canada.
West Jet flies directly to Waterloo from Calgary, and there is shuttle service to the hotel. Transportation for all of the convention events will be provided.
